How many years in the sport/industry?

When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
Watching my father skydive made me want to do it! He looked like he was having so much fun and that’s when I decided I wanted to have that much fun for the rest of my life!
What was the circumstance that led you to make your very first skydive?
When I turned 16, I took my driver’s test. The next day I drove myself to the dropzone and made my first solo skydive.
What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
The insatiable desire for more! I knew I had just opened Pandora’s box and couldn’t wait to dive in head first (no pun intended)!
What’s the best/most memorable skydive you’ve ever made, and what made it so remarkable?
Hard to pick between the mountain flying in Norway or flying past the tips of The Great Pyramids in Egypt.
I remember it like it was yesterday, leaving the aircraft at 10,000ft just above the tips of the mountains in Norway. As my team descended we formed up in formation and took flight down the sides of these massive mountain faces. Midway through the flight we soared past a group of climbers rock climbing up “The Horn”. Shortly after passing them, we flew next to this massive 500ft waterfall before landing gently in a beautiful farm field.
In Egypt, my team and I exited from a C-130 over the Pyramids of Giza. After a 3-4 minute formation flight over Cairo, we swooped our parachutes down the face of these 400ft wonders before we touched down safely next to the Sphinx.
If you have one, what’s your personal motto/philosophy as it relates to skydiving?
We only get one shot at this amazing life we are given. Get out there and make the most of it. Skydiving gives you unparalleled freedom to live in the moment.
What three words would your colleagues/students use to describe you as a skydiver?
Crazy Swooper Guy
Word of Encouragement for First-Time Jumpers:
DO IT! In my 15-year career in the skydiving industry, I have never heard of someone telling me they regret doing it. It is the most liberating feeling in the world. Skydiving certainly changes lives for the better.
